
Ex-Super Eagle's goalkeeper Ike Shorunmu in one of his playing days
Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Ike Shorunmu has joined premier league side Heartland FC of Owerri just as he refuted reports that he had been with the team before now.
Shorunmu told SaturdayTribunesports that there was no iota of truth in the reports published by some newspapers that he had joined the Naze Millionaires earlier, adding that both he and the club officials sealed a deal in Ibadan yesterday.
“ I have just reached conclusion with Heartland this morning (Friday) where we signed an agreement to pitch tent with them.
“All the while we have been negotiating but a deal was only struck on Friday in Ibadan, contrary to reports that I have joined the club earlier,” said the former Super Eagles goalkeeper’s trainer.
The ex FC Zurich of Switzerland had ealier handled the goalkeeping department of Enyimba FC of Aba shortly after his spell as the national goakeeper’s trainer under the Augustin Eguavoen led technical crew.
